| Well I know it has been a VERY long time since I have been on here. Where I have worked in the last 1 1/2 years I can't access xanga.com and then my laptop (which I believe died about 4 months ago) had a setting on it where I couldn't blog on xanga.com so I just gave up. Today I commented on a friends xanga site and it is acutally letting me use this site on my daughter's new computer! Yeah.... Lots have happened since like March of 2007. One my daughter and grandaughters moved in with me in Nov. 07 after dad and hubby left for Iraq. Christmas was crazy with all the tons of toys the girls got from all their family members and church family as well. I started a new job in March of 07, working for the State of MO. I love it there, everyday is different. I decided to pursue weight loss surgery having to jump through many hoops to have my insurance cover the majority of the cost and I was approved on May 12th and had surgery on June 18th of 2008. I began this journey on October 31, 2007 working with my personal physician and since that day I have lost 44lbs! I am excited about how much better I feel, energy I have and people are starting to really notice the difference. It is going to be a long road to get to where I want to be weight wise but I am so willing to do the work! Well that has been my life in a nutshell in the last year and 1/2!!! | | |
| I am sad because today is my last day here on the campus. I have made some really good friends here. And with all the deans, department heads and even the PRESIDENT coming in to tell me good luck it is making it even harder to leave. But I am also very excited about starting my new job tomorrow working for the State of MO. My opportunities for advancement are greater there and my compensation is already well worth the move. I know GOD put me in this job and I know it has been blessed by him...... So I will tell all my co-workers here good bye at 3 p.m. (I am leaving early because I can!) and then start my new job tomorrow with confidence and excitement about the future. | | |

Help me, I pray
To get through this day.
I don't even ask
To have things my way,
Your will is okay.
Things done in your way
Are best suited to stay
In the Master Plan,
Help me to help
In any way that I can
Don't let me be
Part of the problems I see,
But let me rather be
A light unto Thee.
Amen | | |
| And I get to see my precious baby girls again. David and Heather will ACTUALLY be together for an anniversary and they have asked me to come to Texas for a few days to watch the girls while they have a nice anniversary weekend away. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited..... To be able to hold Ivy (last time I held her she was around 20 days old), and to play with my girl Constance. she is such a hoot! What a fun personality she has already at a very young age. The world should watch out for her! LOL

| I had a pretty awesome weekend. A few points weren't the best, but we will let them slide by! A good friend of mine, Kevin helped me go and pick up a new bed and dressers for when Heather, Constance and Ivy get here to stay with me. I spent the day getting it all put together and situated. Then Sunday I had church of course. What a wonderful sermon! Then (getting to the not so fun part!) I had a date... well, we won't go into the horrid details! And then yesterday we had the day off for President's day and I worked from sun up until the afternoon on getting more organized! So all I have left to do it set up the craft room. And I will be doing that this coming weekend. | | |
